Performance Excellence
Laura Gregg does most of the quality work for
Wizard Textware, and is quickly becoming known for her skill and expertise in
this area. Following are some of the projects that Laura has worked on.
- Building quality into on-the-job performance
Laura presented this paper at the May 1997 American Quality Congress
(AQC), a gathering of quality experts from around the world. The AQC is
sponsored by the American Society for Quality. It describes a process for
job analysis, task analysis, structured on-the-job training, and
certification. The process complies with the requirements of the
Training section of the ISO 9000 series of standards.
- ISO Documentation training: Two-day course on how to design and
implement a documentation system that complies with the ISO 9000 series
of standards.
- Quality tools training*: Comprehensive, practical training on the
use of brainstorming, checksheets, cause-and-effect diagrams, flow charts,
run charts, histograms, control charts, Pareto diagrams, and scatter
diagrams.
- Quality principles training*: Comprehensive, practical training on
group processes and systematic problem solving for intact and special work
teams.
*The quality tools and principles courses are modular so that they
can be taught in a five-day intensive session, or in a one-day session
followed by nine 90-minute sessions as part of a real-world problem-solving
process.
